Blog Traffic – It’s something every blog needs and most of us could use lots more. The question becomes “How do I get more traffic to my blog?” Here are three quick and easy tactics to get the job done!
#1 Incite controversy. Controversy attracts readers. It motivates people to link to your post inviting others to read it. Also, being slightly controversial breeds discussion – all of which are great for boosting blog traffic. If you can be somewhat controversial without being offensive, you can probably increase your traffic numbers. Go ahead, stir the pot!
#2 Give your readers more of what they want. Pay close attention to the posts that receive the most comments, the most readership and click throughs. Which posts are being republished, emailed, tweeted and shared on facebook most often. Track this data and give your readers more of what they want.
#3 Be interesting! Give your readers a variety of content including audio and video posts.
Here are a few other ideas:
Ask your readers to post questions and answer them.
Host a contest.
Have a guest blogger.
Offer a survey.
Review a product or service.
Talk about current trends in your industry.
